The Alexander Centre’s Main Hall may still be out of action following the fire, but the dancing certainly isn’t stopping. This year’s Annual Afternoon Swing & Jump Jive Dance is moving to one of Kent’s most atmospheric venues — The Old Brewery Store, Faversham — and it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable afternoon.
On 15th November, the Old Brewery Store will come alive with the sound of vintage rhythm and high‑energy dance music as The Swingtones, Kent’s premier 5‑piece jump‑jive swing band, take the stage with their signature smooth swing and infectious jive grooves.
They’re joined by the electrifying Rocket Rayz, bringing the best in rock ’n’ roll and rockabilly — perfect for dancers who love their jive fast, their rhythm tight, and their energy sky‑high.
And keeping the floor moving between sets, the fabulous Dolly Dowop will be spinning the vinyl, serving up authentic retro tracks that guarantee the dancefloor never cools down.
Despite the setback at the Alexander Centre, the spirit of the event remains stronger than ever — and this year’s venue offers a unique, characterful backdrop for an afternoon of pure vintage joy.
