DESCRIPTION:Now in its sixth year\, Doorstep Duets was originally created in 2021 by New Adventures and Farnham Maltings as a response to social isolation. Offering free opportunities for local communities to enjoy world-class dance performances on their street\, in their park\, or through local community organisations. \nFollowing two magical performances in and around Faversham in 2022 and 2024\, New Adventures are delighted to be returning to Faversham. \nThis year\, they have created a brand-new short piece with choreographer Glenn Graham called “The Bench”Have you ever sat on a park bench and wondered who came before you\, who might come after\, what they were thinking\, and what hopes and fears they were hiding? The Bench\, performed by stars of Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures\, tells the story of three people whose lives overlap in unexpected ways. It is a poetic and moving exploration of memory\, connection\, and the quiet moments that shape us. \nThe creation of this piece is overseen by New Adventures artistic team Kerry Biggin and Etta Murfitt in collaboration with company dancers. \nThere will be 2 FREE performances in Market Square\, Faversham ( by the Guildhall). \nNo tickets required – just turn up and watch. \nPerformance times TBC
