Jason deCaires Taylor is renowned for his immersive underwater sculpture installations, which seamlessly blend art, nature, and environmental awareness.

His innovative projects are designed to integrate with marine ecosystems, transforming the underwater realm into a dynamic public art space.

Over the past 20 years, Taylor has established a global network of Underwater Museums, home to more than a thousand sculptures that evolve into thriving marine habitats.

Each installation revitalises barren or damaged seabeds. These spaces seek to redefine our understanding of the underwater world by granting it the same cultural and ecological significance as traditional museums while highlighting the fragility and beauty of this often-overlooked environment.

In his talk, Jason will showcase his artworks and share extraordinary experiences from his career, including the challenges of placing 100 tons of sculptures on the ocean floor, life casting local residents, and even dealing with a Polychaete worm trapped in his ear canal.
